Logan • Utah State rebounded, got to the line, got turnovers almost every advantage a basketball team could hope to have.
But cold shooting doomed the Aggies (1-1), as the team took its first loss on Thursday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Saint Mary's shot lights out from 3-point range, and although the Gaels suffered from foul trouble, Utah State couldn't make them pay in a 67-58 defeat.
The game was considered to be one of the toughest nonconference matches for the Aggies, and they approached it as such, starting out on a 9-3 run. But the early fire was short-lived, as the Gaels took the lead midway through the first half and never let go.
