In "Obama graduates" (Forum, Nov. 19), Noel de Nevers noted that "the 10 states with the highest percentage of people over age 25 with college degrees all voted for President Barack Obama" and concluded that "this explains why the Democrats want to make a college education accessible to all our citizens."

My conclusion differs. I conclude that today's colleges may educate people, but they surely don't make them intelligent.
