Wednesday on Utah TV: KSL substitutes "Saints and Soldiers" for "Saturday Night Live"

This somehow seems especially appropriate. Our friends at KSL have chosen not to air the "Saturday Night Live" Christmas special that's airing tonight on NBC.

In its place, the station will air Saints and Soldiers (8 p.m., Ch. 5), the 2003 film about faith under fire.

It's a good movie, actually. But the juxtaposition is, well, interesting.

The X Factor (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The remaining finalists perform.

Arrow (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Oliver meets a mysterious woman.

College basketball (7 p.m., BYUtv): BYU at Montana

Dance Academy (7 p.m. Nickelodeon): New drama series about a small-town teen trying to make it at the National Academy of Dance.

Criminal Minds (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): A motivational speaker is suspected of murder..

Modern Family (8 p.m., ABC.Ch. 4): Mitch and Cam try to save a tree.

Supernatural (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Castiel has decided to become a hunter.

Suburgatory (8:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Dallas gives George a makeover.

CSI (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Capt. Brass uncovers information about his daughter.

Key & Peele (11:30 p.m., Comedy Central): One sketch features the last two men on Earth.

Love You, Mean It with Whitney Cummings (11:30 p.m., E!): The star of "Whitney" and co-creator of "2 Broke Girls" has her own weekly talk show. Her first guest - Mindy Kaling ("The Mindy Project").

Happily Divorced (11:30 p.m., TV Land): Fran has to choose between Elliot and Frankie.
