Authorities arrested a 28-year-old Boulder, Wyo., man on suspicion of automobile homicide following a fatal crash overnight near Saltair Resort.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers said Jacob C. Jensen was driving south on State Road 202 near the intersection of State Road 201 about 11:45 p.m. when he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway and lost control.

His Jeep Grand Cherokee went off the roadway and rolled one time, partially ejecting his 22-year-old passenger, authorities said.

Joshua J. Wallace, of West Jordan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Jensen, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and automobile homicide, troopers said.
