Your town in brief: Applications for Farmington City Council now accepted

Want to serve? • Residents who are interested in serving on the City Council have until 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, to file an application with the city recorder. The individual will serve through Dec. 31, 2013. An application can be obtained at the recorder's office at 160 S. Main St. The council will select a replacement on Dec. 18.


Take a ride • Enjoy a free hay ride through the Lights Before Christmas display 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Layton Commons Park, 437 N. Wasatch Drive. Meet at Phase I Pavilion at the north end of Constitution Circle. Refreshments will be served. Dress warm and keep an eye out for Santa.
