Magna • John Sudbury is stepping down after 40 years as a coach in Ute Conference football.

Sudbury is best known as a super-fan of the Utah Jazz. His connection to the team goes back to its arrival from New Orleans in 1979.

Sudbury's work with young football players in the Cyrpus District will be honored during an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Webster Center. The facility is located at 8950 W. 2700 South in Magna.

Sudbury's former players and coaches are invited to participate in the festivities. —
