Two of Utah's most popular musical groups perform tonight on KUED - the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and ThePianoGuys.

First up, it's this year's Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (7 p.m. Ch. 7). In keeping with the holiday tradition, this is the program performed a year ago at the Conference Center.

Jane Seymour narrates "Good King Wenceslas" and the story of Christ's birth (from the book of Luke). And baritone Nathan Gunn performs "Silent Night," accompanied by the choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square.

The rest of the national will see this on PBS later this month; KUED, which produced the special, shows it to Utah viewers first.

If you think I'm kidding that The Piano Guys are one of Utah's top musical acts, take a quick look at YouTube. As of Thursday afternoon, their official channel has 1,061,840 subscribers.

Not bad for five dads from Utah. And the videos produced and performed by Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Tel Stewart, Paul Anderson and Al van der Beek have been viewed about 200 million times.

The Piano Guys: Live at Red Butte Garden (8:30 p.m., Ch. 7), taped in September, is incredibly entertaining. Lots of great music, lots of high energy, lots of fun. What more could you ask for?

PBS ought to pick this KUED/KBYU co-production up for a national telecast. It's fantastic.
