Brighton Resort is offering $40 lift tickets on Saturday, Dec. 15, as part of a Shred the Edge 2012 event to benefit Utah Special Olympics.

Professional athletes Wiley Miller and Pep Fujas will be available to sign autographs while DJ Thumper will provide music, Saga Outerwear will sponsor a rail jam, a public race course will be set up and there will be food, drawings and photo booths.

To qualify for the discount, preregister for the event at www.firstgiving.com/SOUT/ShredtheEdge. Brighton will donate $25 of each discount pass to Utah Special Olympics, said spokesman Jared Winkler.
