Tooele police have identified the victim of a weekend automobile-bicycle accident as a 20-year-old Guatemalan national.

Police Lt. Adrian Day said Monday that Diego García died in an ambulance while en route to the hospital from the Sunday night crash at Pinehurst Avenue and Vine Street.

The 70-year-old female driver was not cited, and though the accident remained under investigation Monday, Day noted that "preliminary indicators are she is not at fault."

The woman had just stopped at a stop sign and was turning right from Pinehurst onto Vine when she struck García.

Day said it was dark on at a poorly lit intersection at the time of the accident.
