Thanks for the powerful editorial "Obamacare in Utah: State should end its resistance" (Our View, Dec. 13), which pointed out the fiscal benefits for Utah accepting Medicaid expansion. Utah must not pass up this opportunity to provide 42,500 more parents and 10,400 more childless adults with routine and preventative health care.

In addition to controlling medical costs, those thousands of Utah citizens can become more productive employees and better parents. They can enjoy the quality of life and peace of mind that those of us with employee-sponsored insurance or Medicare take for granted.
