I applaud Saturday's editorial advocating sensible gun regulation ("Newtown tragedy: Keep guns out of the wrong hands," Our View, Dec. 15), but it is ironic and disturbing that on Friday morning, the morning of the Newtown, Conn., massacre, The Tribune contained a Sportsman's Warehouse advertising supplement, featuring "Christmas Holiday Deals," including a 32-round magazine ($9.99; reg. $18.99).

There is no legitimate sporting use for a 32-round magazine. By carrying this type of advertising, The Trib is contributing to and profiting from the problem.
