A fifth person has been charged in connection to an August murder in Midvale, though the latest defendant isn't accused of participating in the killing.
Abegail Jennings, 35, was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit burglary in state court. In August, Jennings was helping the victim 31-year-old Justen LeFave sell marijuana, court papers say. Jennings told police that one day, Gabriel Samson Gurule asked her to help him steal some of the drugs from LeFave.
"Jennings said the plan was for her to go stay with LeFave and once he fell asleep, she was text Gurule on a phone he provided her" and that she would let him into the apartment, according to the charges. On Aug. 23, she stayed at LeFave's apartment near 7000 S. State St. and they ended up talking through the night.
