• The motion-picture academy's new online voting system for Oscar nominations isn't going so well, according to those who have tried it. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Director Robert Zemeckis now is glad Disney cut off his plans to remake The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine," saying now "it's probably better not to be remade." [Moviehole.net]

• In what place were the most photos taken on Instagram this year? The Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok, Thailand. Disneyland, Times Square, the Eiffel Tower and four locations in Los Angeles also made the top 10. [Instagram, via Entertainment Weekly]
