Thomas A. Brady has been selected as the new deputy director of the Utah Department of Commerce, replacing Thad LeVar, who was recently appointed by Gov. Gary Herbert to serve on the Public Service Commission.
Commerce department Executive Director Francine Giani made the announcement Thursday, saying the appointment was effective immediately.
Brady has been with the department's Utah Division of Securities for more than three years, serving as a securities analyst and most recently as director of enforcement. In addition to his duties as an expert witness in securities cases, Brady is a special prosecutor designee for the Utah County Attorney and Summit County Attorney. He has also served as an administrative law judge for various boards within the Department of Commerce.
