1. Arizona (14-0)

Probably should be 13-1 after Colorado's late basket disallowed, but gets slight nod over Gonzaga, for now

2. Gonzaga (15-1)

Best start in program history for Zags, who might not be tested much in WCC games this year

3. San Diego State (12-2)

Only losses so far to No. 9 Syracuse and to No. 3 Arizona, by one point, but MWC won't be easy

4. UNLV (13-2)

Took North Carolina to the wire at North Carolina before losing 79-73; plenty of nice wins

5. New Mexico(13-2)

Has lost two of last three and plays host to No. 24 UNLV tonight, but great start can't be ignored

6. Wyoming (13-0)

Starting to get some national recognition as one of four remaining unbeatens, but schedule a bit soft

7. UCLA (12-3)

Despite the puzzling loss to Cal Poly, Bruins have shown they are legitimate with some impressive wins

8. Arizona State(13-2)

Struggled to beat the Utes in overtime at home, but bounced back with decent win over Colorado

9. St. Mary's (12-3)

Thursday night's game at Gonzaga will show whether Gaels have the gumption to defend their WCC title

10. Colorado State (13-2)

Don't look now, but the Mountain West begins league play with six teams with two losses or fewer
