Kareem Jamar had 12 points and seven rebounds. Spencer Coleman scored 12 points and Will Cherry 10. Coleman and Cherry had three steals apiece and Montana had 14 as a team.
Southern Utah (5-11, 3-4) couldn't get over the top despite hitting 10 of 19 shots from 3-point range. Damon Heuir scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Jackson Stevenett scored 16.
Westminster 92, Dickinson (N.D.) State 52 • Jake Orchard was 7 of 8 from the field and 3 of 4 from 3-point range for a game-high 19 points, leading the 19th-ranked Griffins (15-4, 3-3) to an easy victory in Frontier Conference play.
Gonzaga 74, BYU 59 • In Spokane, Wash., the Cougars scored just 19 points during the first half to lose their first West Coast Conference game of the season. Haley Steed and Morgan Bailey each scored 18 points for BYU (12-4, 3-1), which entered the game on a nine-game winning streak. Sunny Greinacher led four Gonzaga (13-5, 4-1) players in double figures with 17 points.
Utah State 65, New Mexico State 63 • In Logan, Makenlee Williams hit a 3-pointer with one second remaining to lift Utah State to a dramatic victory in Western Athletic Conference play. Williams, who came off the bench with seven seconds remaining, was 0-for-6 from 3-point range before her game-winning shot. Jennifer Schlott tallied 21 points and seven assists, and Jenna Johnson had 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for Utah State (7-10, 4-2).
Montana State 65, Southern Utah 59 • In Cedar City, the Thunderbirds fell behind by 13 points at halftime and shot 27 percent from the field, losing to the Big Sky Conference's best team at home. Kimie Hawkins scored 12 points and Lori Parkinson had 10 rebounds for SUU (9-7, 3-2).
Northern Arizona 76, Weber State 55 • In Flagstaff, Ariz., the Wildcats shot less than 32 percent to remain winless this season. Brittney Newcomb and Desiree Ramos each scored 15 points for Weber State (0-16, 0-7 Big Sky Conference), which has lost 35 straight games. The Wildcats' last victory was against CSU Bakersfield on Dec. 10, 2011.
Westminster 90, Dickinson State 50 • Kelsi Wells scored a game-high 22 points, and Cydney Tibbitts tallied 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the fifth-ranked Griffins won their ninth straight game. Nicole Yazzie had 16 points and seven assists for Westminster (17-2, 6-0 Frontier Conference), which shot 54 percent from the field.
