"Crystal Fairy" director and screenwriter Sebastian Silva proved to be a character, especially in his brief comments before his film debuted Thursday night. He said he loved Utah — even though they gave him a hard time when he tried to buy alcohol earlier in the day. Sundance director of programming Trevor Groth quickly responded that he would get him some — until someone in the audience assured Groth that Silva was able to indulge.
