Police are asking the public to identify a man who robbed a store at the Gateway mall.

A thin man, in his early 20s, walked into the E Z Eyebrows on Thursday about 12:15 p.m. and approached a clerk. He asked the clerk for change from the register, but when the till opened, the man grabbed cash and left.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The man, who police describe as white, 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, wearing a blue or black jacket over a light blue hoodie, with black knit pants and a black knit cap.

Surveillance video from the store captured the suspect's entrance on tape, and can be viewed above or at the Salt Lake City Police Department website.

Anyone with information about the robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the video is asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000. People can also leave an anonymous tip by texting TIPSLCPD and the information to CRIMES (274637). The case number, for reference, is 13-8469.
