Women's softball: SLCC women top pre-season poll

The Salt Lake Community College women's softball team will open the 2013 as the nation's No. 1 junior college softball program. The Wolverines, 59-9 last season, lost to Chattanooga State in the NJCAA Nationals.

SLCC, coached by Mary Kay Amicone, opens its season Friday at the Southern Nevada Kick Off in Henderson, Nev.
