Al Jefferson leads Utah Jazz to overtime win over Indiana Pacers, 114-110

Al Jefferson scored eight of his 25 points in overtime to lead the Utah Jazz to a 114-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night at EnergySolutions Arena.Utah squandered an eight-point in the final two minutes of regulation before riding Jefferson to victory.Paul Millsap added 21 points for the Jazz, who improved to 24-20 for the season.The Jazz started poorly, with Indiana jumping to a 15-8 lead.Utah got going, however, when Jefferson and Millsap began going inside against David West and Roy Hibbert.Millsap and Jefferson each scored six points and Gordon Hayward came off the bench to add six more during a quarter-ending 19-9 run that gave the Jazz a 27-24 lead.In the second quarter, Utah failed to convert its opening six possessions.Still, the Jazz scored eight straight points to build a 45-39 lead with just over three minutes left before going cold.West scored 14 points and the Pacers finished with a 9-0 run to build a 48-45 halftime lead.In the third quarter, Millsap scored the Jazz's first seven points.Randy Foye followed with a three-pointers, including one that gave Utah a 60-56 lead. The Jazz also converted their next four possessions while holding Indiana scoreless and they build a 69-59 lead.Utah owned a 98-92 lead with 1:37 remaining but three turnovers by Hayward kept Indiana alive. Paul George forced overtime with two free throws with 9.8 seconds left.In overtime, however, Jefferson scores eight points and Utah opens a 104-98 lead before holding on for its ninth win in 12 games.
