The Cricket's Daily 3: No more 3-D 'Star Wars' prequels

Here's what's being talked about today in pop culture:

• Forget about the 3-D re-releases of the second and third prequel in the "Star Wars" series. Disney, which now owns LucasFilm, has postponed the idea to focus on the upcoming Episode VII. [Entertainment Weekly]

• The Powerpuff Girls are coming back, for a special later this year on Cartoon Network. [Vulture]

• Chicago public-radio station WBEZ (the home of "This American Life" and "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me") is launching a very long-range membership campaign — by encouraging current listeners to make babies. [The New York Times]
