Wednesday morning's steady and heavy snowfall caused problems for Salt Lake City International Airport early Wednesday, but traffic returned to normal by mid-morning.
Airport Operations Director Dave Korzep said no flights were cancelled, but a number of flights were delayed.
"We had our snow-removal crews out all morning and that has led to intermittent runway closures that have slowed things down, along with [the need to] de-ice the wings of planes themselves," he said.
By 10:45 a.m., however, airport officials reported normal air traffic had resumed as the storm was beginning to taper off.
"We're back to normal winter operations now," airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann said.
