World-class trumpet player Allen Vizzutti, who has performed with such greats as Chick Corea and Chuck Mangione, will be the guest artist at the Utah Wind Symphony concert TONIGHT.
Vizzutti will also perform master classes and clinics at the University of Utah and at Park City High School and at the annual Utah Music Education Association meeting in St. George. His visit to the Beehive state was arranged through Yamaha instruments, the University of Utah, UWS, the Legacy Music Alliance, and Summerhays Music.
"To have someone of Vizzutti's stature come to Utah not only for a performance but to give his time in service to students and share his remarkable talent over a three day period is extraordinary," said Keith Sorensen, director of K-12 programs for Legacy Music Alliance, in a press release. "He may not have the household name that some of the other great trumpet players do but he is regarded with same high respect within the jazz community."
