Your town in brief: Glass recycling drop-off in West Valley City

West Valley City

Glass recycling bin • The city and Waste Management of Utah will provide a glass recycling drop-off bin beginning Friday at the Public Works building, 2805 S. 3600 West. The donated glass will be delivered to Momentum Recycling, which will turn it into high-quality raw material for making fiberglass, containers, water filters and other products. The bin will be accessible seven days a week.


Help set priorities • A public hearing on applications submitted in the Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 2600 Taylorsville Blvd. (5325 South). City officials are asking for input on funding priorities. Visit http://1.usa.gov/13vkXSp for details.


Zoo Mania • See exotic animals from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Magna Library, 2675 S. 8950 West. No registration needed.
