I congratulate U.S. House Speaker John Boehner and congressional Republicans for getting their spending cuts with sequestration.

In the process, they're laying off an estimated 750,000 people and putting them on government assistance. What is the cost of that? Is this the GOP's idea of job growth?

Wake up, Boehner and congressional Republicans. Compromise is not a four-letter word. It's how we get things done!
