Network with other teens • The Davis Youth Summit — which teaches 13- to 18-year-olds self-help skills and provides community service opportunities — will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Viewmont High School, 120 W. 1000 North. Registration and a food drive start at 11 a.m. The fee, which includes lunch and dinner, is $15. Visit http://bit.ly/ZDGs2s for details.

Family night at the library • "Through the Magic Door" will feature storytelling, games and other adventures from the worlds of fantasy and fairy tales from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, at three libraries: Central Branch, 155 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton; North Branch, 562 S. 1000 East, Clearfield; and South Branch, 725 S. Main St., Bountiful.

Shaking it out • Registration is being taken for the 2013 Great Utah ShakeOut, a drill that will help participants become better prepared for big earthquakes. Visit www.shakeout.org/utah for more information about the April 17 event and to register.
