Park City Police have arrested two people who they say set fire to a hotel and burglarized two other buildings.

Officers found a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile at an apartment Wednesday, according to police. While questioning the duo, officers discovered they were responsible for setting fire to the Marriott Hotel, located at 1850 Sidewinder Drive.

Police also connected the suspects to burglaries at Park City High School and a condo located at 1940 Prospector Ave.

Both suspects were booked on three counts of burglary, one count of aggravated arson and one count of causing a catastrophe.

Police booked the adult suspect into the Summit County Jail and took the juvenile to a detention center.

According to the Park Record, the hotel fire set by the two suspects was reported Wednesday at 12:35 a.m. It burned in a storage room in an underground parking garage before being extinguished by automatic sprinklers.

Authorities estimate the fire caused between $2,000 and $3,000 of damage, none of which was structural.
