Your town in brief: Conservation garden needs volunteers

Gardeners wanted • The Kearns Improvement District is looking for volunteers to help maintain a conservation garden at 6200 South and 5900 West. Call 801-968-1011 to volunteer and visit www.kearnsid.org to learn more about the district.


Musical entertainment • The Arts Council will present the musical "Nunsense" at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 3831 S. 2700 West. In the comedy, the Little Sisters of Hoboken are putting on a fundraiser to get money to bury sisters who were accidentally poisoned by the convent cook. Tickets are $7 each.

West Valley City

Think small • West Valley Library, 2880 W. 3650 South, is offering a class on square-foot gardening, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. The session will cover the 10 basics of growing a crop of delicious organic produce in a small space.
