Cedar City welcomed the 10th Annual Groovefest American Music Festival last June, and that anniversary reunion can be enjoyed again at the world premiere of "Groovefest: The Movie" on April 6 at 7 p.m. at the Off the Cuff Training Center in Cedar City.

This will be the first and only time that this film will ever be shown to the public. Lisa Cretsinger, co-founder of Groovefest, filmed the inner workings of the music festival from her particular point of view. "I never knew my random filming would turn into something until it was," she said about the project. She added that she never intended for her documentation to be released for public view, but after the footage was compiled, she thought it could be an interesting take on the music festival. "Groovefest: The Movie" is being shown as a fundraiser for the 11th annual Groovefest, which will be held June 24 through the 30 in downtown Cedar City. Admission is a suggested $3 donation with an open opportunity for viewers to donate additionally.

All of the public is invited to view the G-rated film. There will also be special refreshments available for purchase as well as Groovefest merchandise. The Off the Cuff Comedy Training Center is located at 913 S. Main St.
