Plans for tonight: Metal, folk or a silent comedy

• Bay Area metal band Exodus performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $18, at Smith's Tix.

• Indie-folk artist Matt Costa performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Carly Ritter, The Hollerin' Pines. The show starts at 7. Tickets are $16, at 24Tix.

• The 1923 Buster Keaton silent comedy "Our Hospitality" screens at the Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. The show starts at 7. Free, presented as part of Westminster College's "Ivory Tower" film series.
