Plans for tonight: Keen begins two-night stand

• Aussie metal band Parkway Drive performs at In the Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: While She Sleeps, The Word Alive. Show starts at 6:30. Tickets are $17.50, at Smith's Tix.

• Singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Katy McAllister, Olivia Millerschin. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $14, at 24Tix.

• A screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary "5 Broken Cameras," an inside look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, happens at the City Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. The screening starts at 7. Free.

• Texas singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen performs at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: Andrea Davidson. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $40, at the venue's website. (Keen's Wednesday show sold out, so this show was added. Get your tickets while you can.)
