Pleasant Grove led by just a run going into the bottom of the sixth but then erupted for six runs to put the game away.
Brody Blackhurst started of the sixth with a single for the Vikings. McKay Lewis was hit then hit by a pitch.
Davis had a hand in helping the inning continue. Pleasant Grove's Zach Peterson attempted to bunt the runners over, but Davis made a throwing error trying to get Peterson at first, which allowed a run to score and the runners to advance.
The Vikings tacked on five more runs to put the game out of reach.
"We were able to put the ball in play in the sixth and put some pressure on them," said Henry.
After Davis scored a run in the first, Pleasant Grove answered with seven runs in the bottom half of the inning. McKay Lewis singled and Brandon Coombs both singled in a pair of runs and Peterson and Jade Smoot each had RBI singles to do most of the damage.
The Vikings added a run in the second and another one in the fourth, but their lead was never safe because they couldn't keep the Darts off the bases. Davis answered with a three-run home run from Zac Fuller in the second. Kody Day singled in a run in the third and Tyler Hall drove in two runs in the fourth.
Kayden Gray helped Davis continue to apply the pressure. He hit a solo home run in the fifth, his third of the season, to cut the lead to 9-8, but that's when the Davis rally fell short.
The loss dropped the Darts to 9-2 on the year while Pleasant Grove continued its impressive preseason by improving to 8-1.
Both teams will try to stay hot when region play begins next week.
