Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• Bill Clinton has joined Twitter, sort of, thanks to a push from Stephen Colbert. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has chosen his next project: A musical adaptation of the Jack Black 2003 comedy "School of Rock." [Los Angeles Times]

• Annette Funicello — who went from being one of the original Mouseketeers on "The Mickey Mouse Club" to several beach movies with Frankie Avalon — has died at the age of 70, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Critic Joe Leydon calls her "my dream crush." [CNN]
