Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• One usually doesn't go to celebrities for wisdom in times of crisis, but comedian Patton Oswalt's much-circulated Facebook comment after Monday's bomb attack at the Boston Marathon strike a chord of tenderness and resilience. [New York Daily News]

• Adam Johnson's novel "The Orphan Master's Son" has won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for fiction — which is a welcome change from last year, when no book won the award. [Vulture]

• Former child actor Frank Bank, best known as best buddy "Lumpy" Rutherford on the TV series "Leave It to Beaver," has died at the age of 71. [The Hollywood Reporter]
