Police have arrested a 15-year-old in connection to the armed robbery of a jewelry store in Holladay that left two elderly women injured last year.
The Unified Police Department announced on Thursday that a 15-year-old juvenile, whose name was not released, was booked into a juvenile detention center on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
Police believe the teenager was one of two suspects who came into the Diamond Custom Jewelers store at 6065 S. Highland Dr. on March 13, 2012, while brandishing handguns and ordering everyone on the ground. Two customers, an 80-year-old woman and an 86-year-old woman, sustained injuries while trying to get on the ground. The 80-year-old suffered a hip injury and the other customer got cuts on her face and hands.
