BYU 3-3, Santa Clara 0-0 • The Cougars shut out the Broncos in both games in Santa Clara, Calif., with the Broncos managing only a combined three hits in the doubleheader. Hannah Howell pitched a one-hitter in the first game, and Tori Almond got 10 strikeouts in game two.
Utah 5, Arizona State 4 • Freshman Shelby Pacheco's walk-off double in the bottom of the eighth gave the Utes their third straight conference home win in Salt Lake City.
Southern Utah 12-6, Weber State 2-2 • The Thunderbirds recorded their highest scoring total of the season in the doubleheader wins over the Wildcats. Freshman Kylee Wolf finished the day with five RBIs, including a home run, and two runs scored.
Louisiana Tech 6-4, Utah State 1-8 • The Aggies dropped their first game in Logan but bounced back in the second to win, led by Jolene Koons' 3-for-4 effort with three runs scored and three RBIs in the final game.
SLCC 5-6, College of Southern Nevada 2-3 • The Bruins won both games of their doubleheader in Taylorsville. Sophomore Malia Campos was 3 for 4 in each game, with a total of four runs scored. Sophomore MaCauley Flint recorded nine strikeouts and two earned runs allowed in the first game, and freshman Ashley Kay pitched SLCC to victory in the second.
Dixie State 5-9, Azusa Pacific 2-0 • The Red Storm won both games of their doubleheader in St. George, and earned a shutout in the second game to shorten it to just five innings.
Pepperdine 4, BYU 1 • The Cougars lost their conference match in Provo, winning only a point from freshman Nicolette Tran's singles win.
Pepperdine 6, BYU 1 • The Cougars clinched only the doubles point in their match in Malibu, Calif., allowing the Waves to claim the conference title with the win.
Denver 4, Utah State 0 • The Aggies lost their last dual match of the regular season in Denver, falling to 7-13 overall and 2-4 in Western Athletic Conference play.
Portland State 7, Southern Utah 0 • In Cedar City, the Thunderbirds were shut out in their final home game of the season.
Track and field
Utah State • On the first day of the USU Mark Faldmo Invitational in Logan, sophomore Melanie Heslop won the hammer throw with a mark of 168 feet, 8 inches; junior Kyle McKenna took first in the men's 5,000 meters with a time of 15 minutes, 7.35 seconds; and senior Tanner Clark won the javelin with a throw of 172-5.
Utah • At the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif., Klaudia Rokossa won the women's pole vault with a height of 12-111/2.
