Taylorsville will tackle its biggest service event ever on Saturday with a citywide clean-up. City leaders estimate that more than 800 volunteers will help spruce up parks, trails, streets and neighborhoods.
Civic groups, churches, groups, businesses and individuals will take part in the project. Girl Scout Troop 2532, which got help from the city after its cookie money was stolen, is participating.
Participants are meeting between 7 and 8 a.m. for registration and breakfast at the UDOT north parking lot, 4501 S. 2700 West. The service projects will run from 8 a.m. to noon, when lunch will be provided at the parking lot for volunteers.
