A collision between a semi truck and a motorcycle on Interstate 15 at 3300 South temporarily blocked three northbound lanes of traffic, the Utah Department of Public Safety reported Thursday afternoon.
At about 1:45 p.m., a motorcyclist stopped and a 18-wheeler braked, jack-knifed and hit the motorcyclist, according to a DPS tweet.
The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
All northbound lanes were open again by 2:25 p.m.
