Until you know the area and where the proposed development of oil shale and tar sands will take place, and the process by which it is done, should anyone turn up their nose? Those of us who live in the Uinta Basin, where these oil-related resources are extracted, realize that regulations are necessary.

Our public lands are for multiple use. The advances in technology and development will help us reach this multiple-use goal, environmentally and economically.

Did you know that eyeglasses, basketballs, shoes, tennis racquets, clothing, tires and medical supplies are a few of the items that are made from oil products?
