Utah gymnasts earn recognition for academic success

Utah's gymnastics team was recognized by the NCAA in an NCAA Division I Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Announcement on Wednesday for its continued success in academics. The gymnastics team has been in the top 10 percent of all gymnastics teams in the Academic Performance report which accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation. The Utes also posted the highest GPA among all Utah varsity teams in 2012-13 with a 3.772 GPA. Team member Hailee Hansen was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII at large first team for her 3.958 cumulative GPA.
