It is sad that your still mostly excellent paper is so understaffed that editing and fact checking sometimes lack. A June 21 caption to a photograph read: "A protestor holds a sign on Thursday that reads in Spanish 'Hunger, misery and oppression and Brazil five times champions,' a few miles from the soccer stadium."

Having time to fact check before going to press would have reminded someone that in Brazil the language is Portuguese! (the mistake was later corrected online).

This is so small and unimportant compared to the big world problems you report daily; still, it's nice to get things right.
