The Utah Jazz met with free agent power forward Paul Millsap Sunday night in Salt Lake City and, according to sources close to the sitaution, expressed a "high interest" in re-signing the 28-year-old.

Millsap has long been thought as a candidate to depart in free agency, due to what will likely be a high price tag and a desire to start. With Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter expected step into bigger — perhaps starting — roles, its unclear whether Millsap would accept a reduced role. At the same time, Kanter and Favors may both be best utilized as centers — first-round draft choice Rudy Gobert is one, also — establshing a need for a player like Millsap.

The 47th pick in the 2006 draft, Millsap has spent his entire career with the Jazz, averaging 12.4 points and 7 rebounds per game. He is one of seven players from last year's team who became free agents Monday.
