Former SLCC softball assistant coach Cyndee Bennett was named the new head coach.

Bennett was an assistant for the Bruins for six seasons, primarily with the pitching staff. Last season, SLCC pitchers combined for a 1.87 earned-run average with 381 strikeouts as the team went 53-11 and finished as the runner-up in the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament.

Bennett replaces Mary Kay Amicone who took the head coaching position at Weber State.
