World's best horseshoe pitchers to descend on St. George

More than 1,000 competitors from the United States, Canada, Norway and South Africa will be in St. George beginning July 22 at the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association.

The World Tournament will be at the Dixie Convention Center between July 22- Aug. 3. It is the first time St. George will host the international event.

The air-conditioned Dixie Center will feature 42 horseshoe courts. Admission is free. Divisions include Girls, Boys, Elders, Men, Women, Senior Men, Senior Women and Cadets.
