The new federal courthouse is expensive, ugly and a blight in our city.

How does an ice cube-like glass box building covered with aluminum corduroy fill the architectural needs to portray both beauty and governmental judicial fairness and authority in the new federal courthouse?

We live in one of the most naturally beautiful states in a gorgeous valley surrounded by mountains with an approximately 12-story block of ice downtown.

Why did the New York architects not look at the Salt Lake City Library and the new Salt Lake City Public Safety Building just a few blocks away for inspiration of flow and fitting in with Mountain West environment?

I lived my first three decades in New York and wish we had hired Western architects to blend the need for a governmental judicial building within our environment.
