Salt Lake City gets another chance on Thursday to prove how honest it is.

The makers of the Honest Tea line of drinks is reprising its "National Honest Index" experiment, in which the company tests the comparative honesty of residents of American cities.

Here's how it works: The company sets up unmanned drink stands in public places, where people can buy a bottle for a dollar. It's all on the honor system, so whether someone leaves a dollar or just takes a drink is up to the individual.

At the end of the experiment, the company counts how many drinks are gone and how much money is left behind, and determines which city has the most honest citizens.

Last year, Salt Lake City and Oakland, Calif., tied for first place with 100 percent honesty.
