I find it ironic that the U.S. Forest Service is bent on destroying a renegade single-track mountain bike trail in Albion Basin while Alta Ski Lifts pretty much uses any means, including dynamite, bulldozers, chainsaws, and track hoes, to flatten trails and put pipe in for snow-making in the same area.

It would be great if the Service could do some service and build a new foot and bike trail or two to accommodate summer pedal and pedestrian traffic, something only the ski resorts, ironically again, seem able to do.

A great way to start would be a trail all the way up in both Big and Little Cottonwood canyons.
