Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando, Kyle Beckerman and Tony Beltran have been named to the MLS All-Star team.

The trio — which played in Saturday's U.S. Gold Cup victory over Cuba at Rio Tinto Stadium — was selected to the 20-man roster by Sporting Kansas City coach Peter Vermes and announced Monday.

The all-stars will play AS Roma on July 31 in Kansas City.

"The game gives us a great opportunity to feature the talent this league has and showcase the progress we've made," said Beckerman, the RSL captain.

Beckerman has two goals and three assists on the year. With the latest selection, he has now made the all-star game day roster five years in a row.

Rimando, whose 10 wins and .82 goals against average is tops for MLS starters this year, will back up FC Dallas goalkeeper Raul Fernandez.

It is Rimando's first selection to the game day roster since 2010.

For Beltran, this is his first all-star selection. The right back has one assist and has played a crucial role in an RSL defense that has allowed the second fewest goals in MLS.

All three RSL players are currently off with the U.S. national team as Gold Cup play continues through most of the month.
