A father and son from Salt Lake County plan to split $1 million from a winning Powerball ticket bought in Idaho.
Mike Middlemiss and his son, Chris Middlemiss, had been sharing tickets for years, promising to split their winnings. On Saturday night, one of their tickets matched the five first numbers, according to a news release by the Idaho Lottery.
Chris Middlemiss is a paramedic and his wife is a student. Last week they were poring over family finances trying to devise a way to make a down payment on their first home.
