It's our own fault

Some people say our country is going downhill. If it is, we ourselves are to blame.

We consume more than we produce.

We spend more than we earn.

We talk too much and do too little.

We complain too much and give thanks too little.

We allow foreigners to enter our country illegally and take the jobs and do the work we should be doing.

We vote for leaders who swear to uphold the Constitution and then lie, steal, cheat, get us into unnecessary wars and waste and spend us into debt that we can't recover from.

And what do we do? We vote them into office again.
